LADS SPECIAL..........!!!!

There are lots of trends out there this year for you man folk, some more wearable that others, but all can be tweaked to suit your own style and life.

So, with that in mind, I have decided to do a special edition of my blog, completely dedicated to the oppisite sex !! Ain't you lucky??

Nautical, Prints, Tailoring, Bright colours, Sports Luxe to name a few.  The biggest is the Nautical trend, Which is sailing away from its traditional moorings, towards new horizons.

This season, The good ole Nautical trend has been refreshed: no longer is it the sole domain of rich yacht owners and Captain Birdseye......Ohhhhhh Arrrrrr!!!!!  Im also loving these seaside terms I can use!! I love a punn.

So you dont get it completely wrong, and forced to walk the plank, here are some looks that will sail you in the right direction !! haha I did it agin..........Hilarious!!!

You dont have to go overboard (did it again, I'm on fire!!!) with the classica Maritime colours, Navy, White  and red, switch them for more muted and Nude tones.  Think, Slouchy t-shirts, shirts and trinkety jewellery, but I would urge you to steer clear of adding the classic pirate eye-patch.  For those looking for a more accessible take of this trend, you should opt for fine knitwear in neutral shades, with the edition of a slouchy cowl-neck, slip on a pair of deck shoes and your one stylish buoy !! Ok, ok, I'll stop the sailing lingo!!!

Another huge look is Tailored, single-breasted jackets are balanced with casual t-shirts and graphic shirts, which while still neat and crisp, gives the trend weight outside of the office.  Shirts buttoned right up to the neck and slim turn-ups on t-shirt sleeves and trousers or light weight denim jeans, turned up at the ankles to give that more casual look of this trend.

SPLASH OF COLOUR FOR THE WEEKEND...?

Everywhere you look in the shops its saturated in colour, colour, colour, and I love it!!!  Colour is the new black!   So why not try packing a punch with this seasons most on trend colours, Bright Red, Yellow, Orange and Colbat Blue!

If you dont feel brave enough to wear head to colour, why not team your skinny denims with a bright top and accessories, or add a flash of colour with a pair of sensationaly sexy coloured shoes.

I myself will be trying out this trend at the weekend, so if you see me out, and lets face it, in these colours, how could you miss me, dont forget to give me the thumbs up!!

GET ALL SWEETNESS AND LIGHT!!

A pastel palette, a shed load of ruffles, bows and floral prints meshed together for a trend, fit for a modern day Princess of Dublin!!

I love this look, you can work some bang on trend pastels and florals, which I heart....then throw in some studs, skulls, slashed fabrics, leather leggings, whips, chains, and handcuffs! Ok, maybe not the Handcuffs and whips, but you see where im going with this look!

On the Chanel S/S 11 catwalks, dancer skirts, feathers and lashings of jewellery combined to sugary effect, but were pulled back from the brink of ladylike refinement with bold studded ankle boots and the most amazing deep, dark and wonderful accessories.  Mulberry rescued Peter Pan collars, while Julien MacDonald added some spice to proceedings by slashing the fronts of his dresses dangerously short, leaving the back floawing behind you like the perfect entourage.

H&M, River Island and Topshop stops are bursting at the seems with some of the uber amazing looks that I have very nicely put together for you below.....yes, I know I spoil you!!!

So if you fancy rocking then girlie floral and bows look, but wanna show off that naughty side of you, this is definitly the look for you, team it with dark nails and simple eyes and a statement lip and it will be, all eyes on you!!!! BOOM!!!

Alex Chung, Love or Loath???

As Paris Fashion Week has come to an end it is time to recap on some of the outfits worn by our famous celebs.  Alexa Chung was one of the celebrities which I was keeping close eye on but as a devoted fan of Alexa’s style, I was a little disappointed with this outfit.

Known for her unique and quirky style Miss Chung seemed to have gone a little 12 years old girl crazy with this outfit.
Touting at cream smock dress, it looked more Hansel and Gretal rather than cool.  I usually like her for her effortless style but sorry Alexa this was a no no.
If you liked Alexa’s look then check out some of our alternative highstreet finds…

HOW TO BE A LACEY LOVELY!!!

Swoon!!!!
From Dolce & Gabbana to Alberta Ferretti, designers are falling for delicate, romantic lacy layers. Thankfully, for all it's chic-ness, it's an easy trend to pull off: All you need is a lacy dress in white, cream or blush! For a flirty take on the trend opt for a short-and-sweet frock that's well above the knee or an exaggerated, full skirt or covered up neckline helps keep the ensemble sophisticated, on-trend.  Or go for a more dramatic look in a floor-length semi-sheer number, paired with loose hair and minimal accessories. But remember: Proper underwear and coverage is key! Make sure you have a nude or black slip on hand to avoid revealing too much.
and dont forget a quick swipe of Fake Tan, nothing worse that no tan while wearing white!!
Check out my future blog, where I rate and slate the Top 5 fake tans on the market!!!
